As Joshua and the people of God entered into the promised land, they were faced with the mightiest fortified city of the New Land. Jericho was the gateway into the promised land.
They couldn't ignore it. They were forced to conquer it.
When they obeyed God, the same fortified city that had blocked their path became the very gateway into the blessings of God.
